Supporting our library in its mission to best serve our community.
We have raised more than $400,000 over the past five years, allowing us to fund concerts, cultural forums, children’s programs, and make a sizable donation toward the building fund of the new library.
Since our founding in 1952, we have been instrumental in ensuring Milwaukie has an adequate library for the whole community.
Our friends and supporters are local community members like you.
Our gifts to the library help make it a vibrant space that welcomes our community members. Below are a few of the many ways we are able to give back to our community’s generosity.
NEW BUILDING FUND
Our $150,000 donation helped with the costs associated with the new library.
SUMMER READING PROGRAM
We sponsor a summer reading program, which gives each youth participant a free book and provides weekly prize drawings for adults.
CULTURAL PROGRAMMING
We sponsor cultural forums and cultural passes that offer patrons free and discounted admission to local museums and galleries
BUILDING ENHANCEMENTS
In the past, we donated the circulation desk counter, bike racks, children’s computers, young adult furniture and exterior flowers.

We are able to support our library thanks to your generosity. There are many ways to make a difference: make a cash donation, set up a qualified charitable donation, or support us while you shop.
The funds we raise during our Book and Plant Sales wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community members. Learn more about donating plants and books for these events.
